Kings (A)CROSS
We're kicking off the festival with a British-themed concert, named after London's iconic train station, King's Cross.
The first half features some of the most beautiful chamber works by British composers, and after the break, our British friends from Elmore Quartet take over with a rarely heard gem and a brilliant quartet staple piece.
A truly British opening with a touch of German romanticism.
Vaughan Williams - Phantasy Quintet
Benjamin Britten - String Quartet no. 2

Imogen Holst - Phantasy Quartet
Robert Schumann - String Quartet op. 41 no. 2

ACROSS the night
Our late-night concert is something truly special - with light installations weaving around the music, we create an atmosphere where time and space almost dissolve.
Henryk Górecki - String Quartet no. 2 (excerpt)
Arnold Schönberg - Verklärte Nacht

ACROiSSant
As the name suggests, this concert is all about France.
Our French friends from Trio Pantoum open the program with their chosen repertoire. After the intermission, they join musicians from the Elmore Quartet to perform the French-Belgian Cesar Franck's Piano Quintet.
This is a concert that embraces the modern, the lyrical, and the dramatic - just like a great French film.
Miroslav Srnka – Emojis, Likes and Ringtones
Franz Schubert – Piano Trio no. 1 op. 99

Cesar Franck – Piano Quintet
